SEPTEMBER 2025
Big shout out to those players who sweated it out with us our first summer on court. As the summer sun and heat grace our courts, it is wonderful to see so many of you out serving, volleying, and rallying with enthusiasm. Our gratitude continues to grow as we welcome more and more of you into this blessed community. Whether you are a seasoned player or just picking up a racquet or paddle, I encourage you to embrace the camaraderie and competitive spirit that make our club so special.
Labor Day Event, 9/1/25
Join us Monday at 9:00 am for Tennis Round Robin AND Pickleball Round Robin*.
Two hours of play followed by an hour of refreshments and social gathering.
*Selkirk Pickleball paddles will be available for demo.

New Class Schedule
Our September tennis & pickleball classes are now published. We are offering morning and evening clinics and controlled competitive play every day.

*On Sunday, September 7th, 2025 we are hosting the season opener for the USTA Junior Team Tennis. No tennis courts will be available to play from 1:30 - 4:00 PM.
Junior Academy in Full Swing
Hobe Sound Tennis Academy has officially begun its Fall Sessions. We are welcoming students from the Pine School, Banner Lakes and our local Hobe Sound Community. Thank you to Member Rose Montero and Kari Mulhern for their donations of clothes for those children who do not have funds to purchase sneakers and tennis outfits. Thank you to all the families who are trusting us to bring the love of tennis to your children!
Ball Machine Rental - Now Available!
We’re excited to announce that members can now rent the Playmate Ace Ball Machine donated to us by Mariner Sands through the arrangement of member Richard Montero.
⏱️ $15 per rental per person or choose to donate $500 and receive unlimited access for the life of this ball machine and the new one to come.

Our Men’s & Women’s Fall Leagues will be starting soon! If you’re interested in participating, please email staff@HobeSoundTennisCenter no later than September 10th, with the team you'd like to join and we'll get you on the roster.

If your class or lesson is rained out you’ll automatically receive club credits in your account, which you can use toward any future class or lesson.
Club credit balances can be found in your Playbypoint profile by going to settings/payments/club credits.
Lost & Found
Although nothing too exciting has been lost, a reminder to check the lost and found in the shed for any misplaced items.
Phase 2 Construction Progress
Preparation for Phase 2 has begun. Bidding is underway for construction of the clubhouse to improve the pile of dirt in the center of the Club. Our anticipated construction start date is January 5, 2026. Before that you will see a construction fence go up along the center sidewalk. We will be intimately close to the construction and we will ask for everyone’s patience and sense of humor as the noise and dirt invade our peaceful space in the next year. We know it will be worth the wait and inconvenience. The clubhouse floor plan and architectural drawings will be posted on our website in the coming weeks.

Construction is complete. Waiting on Martin County approvals. Opening date will be announced soon.

Construction is ongoing. Pickleball courts are nearly completed. Once the dust settles from the tennis court construction, lines and nets will go up. Surfacing on the tennis courts has started.
OCTOBER 2024
Construction on the Pickleball courts has begun. First layer of paving has been poured. Tennis courts have been staked. Utility work is ongoing.

SEPTEMBER 2024
The project is moving forward slowly; the right turn lane on US 1 is complete; the core infrastructure is being completed; then comes the parking lot, then the lighting, then the courts….permits are all pending and we try to accomplish something every day! We hope to begin operating in early 2025. In the beginning we will have courts, a temporary office and bathroom trailer. That will probably be the case for at least a year while we proceed with building the clubhouse. We wanted to get the courts going first! With a little luck and lots more hard work, perhaps we will be able to organize community teams in the spring, to begin in the fall of 2025.
We are now accepting tax deductible donations for the Hobe Sound Tennis Academy.
AUGUST 2024
Construction is under way for the Hobe Sound Tennis Center and Hobe Sound Tennis Academy!
We broke ground and started clearing the land in October 2023. We anticipate the courts to be ready for play in early January 2025. Initially on opening we will be offering 10 clay tennis courts and 6 pickleball courts. Two of the tennis courts and all six pickleball courts will be lit. An office and restrooms will also be available.
Construction on the clubhouse will soon follow and it is planned to open in 2026. The clubhouse will feature:

Phase 3 of the project will include adding a swimming pool and soccer field.
🎉 Summer Highlights at Hobe Sound Tennis Center! 🎾🏓 It’s hard to believe it’s only been two months since we opened our doors - and what a fantastic start it’s been! We’ve been welcoming new members every day - playing, learning, meeting new people, and enjoying the convenience of courts close to home. Here’s a quick look at what’s been happening on (and off) the courts. 🎾 Every Monday and Wednesday morning, we’ve welcomed a group of children from the Banner Lakes community to the Hobe Sound Tennis Academy. These enthusiastic beginners are learning to play tennis while building relationships, confidence, and life skills through the game. Huge thanks to 3 Natives Hobe Sound for donating fresh fruit and to members Peter and Karen Testa for providing Gatorade to keep the kids hydrated and fueled! We will gladly accept 501(c)(3) donations - cash or in-kind, of any racquets you’re no longer using. Stop by and talk to Lynne if you have any questions or for more information. 👟 A big shout out with thanks to our member, Richard Montero for arranging and coordinating the donation of a Har-Tru Tread Blaster shoe cleaner now proudly installed by our tiki water hut. Grateful appreciation to Josh of Florida Fortified Fencing for the donation and installation. Several members are teaming up to bring a Playmate Ace ball machine to HSTC for all players to solo practice, train and up your game any time you want. 💥 Donate $500+ to get unlimited use for the life of the machine! Join this exclusive group of supporters and be part of something that benefits everyone on the court! 🧊 Our ice and water machine is officially working! After a few "cool" hiccups, it’s finally chilling like a pro. We encourage the use of reusable water bottles to our “non-plastic” facility! 🎾 Our Ladies USTA Summer League launched on July 12 with a home match WIN against North River Shores Tennis Club. We’re proud to have 12 members representing the Hobe Sound Tennis Center. 🎾🏓 Both Our Friday Night Light Pickleball and Friday Night Doubles Tennis are off to a rousing start.
