Hobe Sound Tennis Center Updates
SEPTEMBER 2026
Congratulations to all of our players who continued to brave the heat, finding ways to exercise and play through the hot, hot days of August! September brings with it a longing for cooler hours on the courts. Brilliant lightning and thunderstorms continue to punctuate our days, but we play around them as we head into what promises to be a busy fall season.
AUGUST 2026
As summer winds down and families prepare for the back-to-school season, I want to thank you for being part of our HSTC community. We hope you've enjoyed making memories on the courts this summer. A special thank you to everyone who stayed in Florida, immersed in heat, and continued to play, practice, and participate.
JULY 2026
Happy July! Summer is in full swing, and there's no better time to enjoy the game we all love. Whether you're joining us for tennis clinics, junior camps, Friday night doubles, pickleball leagues, Saturday morning Hit & Hustle, hitting with friends, or sleepy Sunday mornings, thank you for making our club such a welcoming and energetic community.

MAY 2026
Greetings to our tennis and pickleball friends and family, It has been one year since we began operating - what a year it has been! We have grown from a sleepy, tentative project to a lively, fully landscaped facility buzzing with matches, lessons, and new friendships.
APRIL 2026
April is here - and so is the wind! We wrapped up March by adding clay to the courts and kicked off April by reinforcing the wind screens with stronger zip ties.
MARCH 2026
The winter chill has subsided. Our clubhouse is rising up behind the green construction fence.

As the cool air sweeps through Hobe Sound, we mark our six month anniversary!
OCTOBER 2025
Despite almost daily cancelations due to rain, September was an active month. It is encouraging to see our energetic and optimistic members make the most of every dry moment on the court! We are especially grateful to our maintenance crew who have been working hard to ensure that the courts are in good condition even after heavy rainfall.
SEPTEMBER 2025
Big shout out to those players who sweated it out with us our first summer on court. As the summer sun and heat grace our courts, it is wonderful to see so many of you out serving, volleying, and rallying with enthusiasm. Our gratitude continues...

SEPTEMBER 2024
The project is moving forward slowly; the right turn lane on US 1 is complete; the core infrastructure is being completed; then comes the parking lot, then the lighting, then the courts….permits are all pending and we try to accomplish something every day! We hope to begin operating in early 2025. In the beginning we will have courts, a temporary office and bathroom trailer. That will probably be the case for at least a year while we proceed with building the clubhouse. We wanted to get the courts going first! With a little luck and lots more hard work, perhaps we will be able to organize community teams in the spring, to begin in the fall of 2025.
We are now accepting tax deductible donations for the Hobe Sound Tennis Academy.
AUGUST 2024
Construction is under way for the Hobe Sound Tennis Center and Hobe Sound Tennis Academy!
We broke ground and started clearing the land in October 2023. We anticipate the courts to be ready for play in early January 2025. Initially on opening we will be offering 10 clay tennis courts and 6 pickleball courts. Two of the tennis courts and all six pickleball courts will be lit. An office and restrooms will also be available.
Construction on the clubhouse will soon follow and it is planned to open in 2026. The clubhouse will feature:
-
Cafe
-
Gym
-
Yoga studio
-
Childcare room
-
Classroom
-
Massage room
-
Pro shop
Phase 3 of the project will include adding a swimming pool and soccer field.
